Christine Fleming, Founder/Owner

Christine Fleming, a Boston-based communications specialist, is the founder of Higher Communication. Higher Communication specializes in copywriting, editing, proofreading, and social media strategy, as well as editing and proofreading services for businesses, professionals, high school and college students. Christine has more than 25 years of experience and a strong background in education to share with her clients. She has worked for many Boston-based universities and schools in their marketing, admissions and communications departments.

Most recently, Christine served as a writer, editor and proofreader for Creative Circle where she wrote, edited and provided proofreading services to clients such as Harvard Graduate School of Education, Southern New Hampshire University, Boston College, Regis University and Northeastern University and Education First. She also worked for primary and secondary schools in the Boston area and is a seasoned admissions and advancement professional. In addition to the education field, Christine services clients in financial services, insurance, IT and cybersecurity industries.

Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Writing and Communications from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, attended the Accelerated Postgraduate Baccalaureate program at Bridgewater State University and participated in the Social Media Certification program through Northwestern University. She is a certified English teacher by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a self-proclaimed grammar geek!


John Regan, Writer & Editor

John Regan, a Seattle-based professional writer, joins our team as a freelance writer and editor. John has worked for more than 20 years as an editor and content writer for a large telecommunications company and writes creatively in his spare time. John has co-written three books, worked on screenplays and has written several blogs about baseball, craft brewing and travel. He’s been published in many Pacific Northwest publications.

John has a BA in English from Saint Michael’s College in Vermont where he learned the craft from Vermont poet and writer, John Engels. He also has a Master of Professional Writing degree from Chatham University in Pennsylvania.
